Matchday 9 review of the Siedlce Regional League 2026/27

Matchday 9 of the Siedlce Regional League certainly did not disappoint in terms of goals. A remarkable 46 goals were scored across the eight matches, giving an average of 5.75 goals per game - the highest-scoring round of the season so far. The biggest goal fest came in Skórzec, where Naprzód thrashed Podlasie II Sokołów Podlaski 11:3, with Wojciech Wocial scoring six goals for the hosts. The match in Mrozy also had a major impact on the top of the table, as Watra became the first team this season to defeat league leaders Mazovia II Mińsk Mazowiecki.
It was another very successful weekend for our team. Sęp defeated Czarni Węgrów 6:1 in Żelechów, recording our third consecutive league victory. We completely dominated the opening stages - Mikołaj Głodek scored in the 2nd minute, Szymon Kryczka doubled the lead three minutes later, and Głodek added his second in the 16th minute. Although we were later reduced to ten men following a red card for Kryczka, we remained in control of the match. After the break, Mikołaj Głodek completed his hat-trick, while Albert Bożek converted a penalty and Dawid Kowalczyk added another goal. Czarni responded only through Dawid Matusik. Thanks to our third consecutive win, Sęp now have 14 points and have moved up to 6th place in the table. We also remain unbeaten at home, having collected 10 points from four matches with a goal difference of 9:2.
There was a very interesting clash in Mrozy, where the top two teams in the league before this round went head-to-head. Watra defeated Mazovia II Mińsk Mazowiecki 2:1, becoming the first side to beat the league leaders this season. The hosts took the lead in the 13th minute when Piotr Kowalczyk converted a penalty, before Hubert Kąca made it 2:0 in the 33rd minute. Mazovia responded only in the 90th minute through Marcin Kamiński. Despite the defeat, the Mińsk side remain top of the table with 22 points, but second-placed Watra are now just two points behind.
An extraordinary result was recorded in Skórzec, where Naprzód demolished Podlasie II Sokołów Podlaski 11:3, having already led 8:0 at half-time. Wojciech Wocial was the star of the match, scoring an incredible six goals - five in the first half and one after the break. Piotr Haber added two, while Sylwester Buga, Mariusz Olszewski and Jan Mruz scored one each. Podlasie responded in the second half through Jakub Kozaczuk, Wiktor Sawicki and Tymoteusz Bojar. His six-goal performance immediately moved Wocial into the upper reaches of the league’s goalscoring charts.
There was also plenty of drama in Unin, where Orzeł defeated Victoria Kałuszyn 4:3, with the match only decided in the closing stages. The hosts took the lead thanks to two goals from Bartosz Jeleń, but Victoria drew level before half-time through Bartosz Rękawek and Adam Chojecki. Aleksander Jedynak made it 3:2 after the break, but Igor Madziar converted a penalty to restore parity. Bartłomiej Walenda eventually secured all three points for Orzeł with an 89th-minute winner.
ULKS Gołąbek continue their impressive run. This time they defeated Płomień Dębe Wielkie 3:1 at home to record their fourth consecutive league victory. Mateusz Chmielewski gave the hosts an early lead from the penalty spot, before Mateusz Stankiewicz added a second in the 24th minute. Płomień responded through Kacper Jackiewicz, but Michał Kruszewski completed the scoring in the second half. ULKS now have 13 points and still have their postponed Matchday 7 fixture against Czarni Węgrów to play.
In Małkinia, Zryw Sobolew ended MKS’s run of three consecutive victories with a 2:1 win. After a goalless first half, Mateusz Kowalczyk gave the visitors the lead in the 55th minute, before Dominik Bieńko doubled the advantage eight minutes later. MKS managed to respond only in the 90th minute through Gabriel Adamski. The victory moved Zryw up to third place in the table.
Wilga Miastków Kościelny also recorded their third consecutive victory. After a goalless first half, the hosts decided the match against Jastrząb Żeliszew within the space of just over quarter of an hour. Szymon Wasilka opened the scoring in the 61st minute before Przemysław Kajka found the net twice. Emmanuel Kisero Miseda completed the scoring in a 4:0 victory. Kajka’s brace took him to 10 goals for the season, moving him level with Piotr Czajka at the top of the goalscoring charts. For Jastrząb, meanwhile, it was their fourth consecutive league defeat.
Fenix Siennica also recorded a convincing victory, beating ŁDK Łosice 4:0. Szymon Gójski gave the hosts the lead in the 10th minute. The remaining goals came after the break, with Rafał Słowik, Piotr Markowski and Konrad Okrzeja all finding the net. It was Fenix’s third league victory of the season, while ŁDK failed to score for the third time this campaign.
After Matchday 9, Mazovia II Mińsk Mazowiecki remain top of the table with 22 points, although their advantage over Watra Mrozy has been reduced to just two. Zryw Sobolew and Wilga Miastków Kościelny both have 16 points, Naprzód Skórzec have 15, while Sęp Żelechów have moved up to 6th place with 14 points.
There has also been a change at the top of the goalscoring charts, where Piotr Czajka of Płomień Dębe Wielkie and Przemysław Kajka of Wilga Miastków Kościelny now share the lead with 10 goals each. Igor Madziar of Victoria Kałuszyn has 9, while Aleksander Dzięcielski of Mazovia II and Karol Niegowski of ULKS have scored 7 each.
