Summary of the 25th round of matches in the Siedlce District League for the 2022/23 season
The match in Miastków Kościelny unexpectedly started off much better for the hosts. As early as the 5th minute, Maciej Belka took his team to a one-goal lead, which could suggest that Wilga might surprise their much higher-rated opponent. Unfortunately, the lead of coach Krzysztof Aniszewski's wards did not last long, and in the 13th minute, one of the most effective players of Watra, Piotr Kowalczyk, equalized, with Adrian Czajka giving the visitors the lead 8 minutes before the end of the first half.
The second half of the match was a real goal rush. Wilga managed to score 2 goals, but this was clearly not enough as their rivals made 4 successful shots, and what's worse, the home team scored an own goal. Eventually, Watra Mrozy claimed an impressive 7:3 victory and, as a result of Orzeł Unin's 1:2 defeat to Fenix Siennica, moved up to the first place in the table.
