Summary of the 19th round of matches of the Siedlce District League season 2022/23

Before the 19th round match, the Orzeł Unin team could boast a streak of 18 matches without a defeat, consisting of 11 wins and 6 draws. The team coached by Janusz Kowalski remained the only unbeaten team in our league for several months. In the confrontation with ULKS Gołąbek, they were a clear favorite, although they didn't start the spring round too well (2 draws and a 6-2 win in the Garwolin County derby with Hutnik Huta Czechy). During the Saturday match, neither side was able to score a goal for a long time. The breakthrough came in the 83rd minute when Cezary Jakubaszek unfortunately scored an own goal, giving Gołąbek a one-goal lead, which they managed to maintain until the final whistle. The surprise became a fact and Orzeł had to come to terms with their first defeat of the season.

Sęp Żelechów took advantage of Orzeł's stumble and, thanks to a modest 1-0 victory over Wilga Miastków Kościelny, managed to reduce the point gap to the leader to just one point.
