Semi-final results of the Siedlce District Polish Cup 2026/27

On Wednesday, 7 October, the semi-finals of the Dongfeng District Polish Cup in the Siedlce district were played. Both matches were very evenly contested, and penalty shootouts were needed to decide the winners in each of them. Pogoń II Siedlce and Wektra Zbuczyn eventually secured their places in the final.
In the first semi-final, Pogoń II Siedlce faced fourth-tier side Podlasie Sokołów Podlaski. Neither team managed to score in regulation time and the match ended 0:0. Podlasie had more of the play, but the hosts defended effectively and also looked for their opportunities on the counter-attack.
A long penalty shootout was needed to decide who would advance, with as many as nine rounds required. In the end, Pogoń II won 8:7 and became the first team to secure a place in the final.
The match between Mazovia II Mińsk Mazowiecki and Wektra Zbuczyn provided just as much drama. Wektra had a chance to take the lead from the penalty spot as early as the 7th minute, but Krystian Zbieć’s effort was saved by Stanisław Zając. The Wektra striker made amends in the 33rd minute, scoring to make it 1:0.
Mazovia II pushed for an equaliser for a long time and finally found one in the 81st minute through Mateusz Woźnica. The score remained 1:1 until the end of regulation time, so the second finalist was also decided by penalties. Wektra proved more clinical in the shootout, winning 3:1 and joining Pogoń II in the final.
