Our oldboys team played in a tournament in Zadybie Stare, organised by Ryki

Originally, eight teams split into two groups were due to take part, but only seven sides turned up on the day, so the organisers decided to run the competition as a round-robin. Each team therefore had six matches to play, each lasting 2x10 minutes in a 6+1 format across two pitches.

Our oldboys made a very good start to the tournament. In the opening match we beat Wojcieszków 2:0 thanks to goals from Sebastian Deres and Szymon Grudzień, and we then played out a goalless draw with Puławy - who, as it later turned out, finished runners-up in the final standings. Unfortunately, we failed to add any more points in the remainder of the competition: we went down narrowly 0:1 to Lotnik, lost 0:3 to Miastków, and in the clash with the eventual tournament winners - Gończyce - we made life difficult for the favourites, losing only 1:2 after a goal from Karol Matuszewski. To finish, we had to accept the superiority of the event hosts - Ryki - who won 2:0.

With 4 points and a goal record of 3:8, our team ultimately finished 6th among the seven sides.

The tournament was won by Gończyce, who collected 14 points in total without losing a single match. Second place went to the side from Puławy - also unbeaten - while third place belonged to the competition organisers from Ryki. We would like to thank them for the invitation and the excellent organisation of the event.
