Sęp vs Podlasie II Sokołów Podlaski: Impressive 6-1 Victory, Hat-Trick for Mikołaj Głodek

In the final match before the summer break, both teams provided plenty of excitement for the spectators. Although the final score suggests a one-sided contest, the game was actually much more evenly balanced. The visitors enjoyed a slight advantage in possession, but our clinical finishing proved decisive and allowed us to record such a convincing victory.
We took the lead in the 14th minute. Following a free kick awarded near the halfway line, Paweł Mazurek delivered the ball into the Podlasie penalty area. After the ball bounced awkwardly, Krystian Dadas reacted quickest and headed confidently into the visitors’ net.
Our lead was doubled in the 27th minute. Łukasz Gendek dribbled into the penalty area and was brought down by a defender. Referee Marcin Protasewicz had no hesitation in pointing to the penalty spot. Mikołaj Głodek stepped up and calmly converted the spot kick. It was his 20th goal of the season - and, as it turned out, not his last.
Unfortunately, before halftime we were forced into two injury substitutions. First, Wojtek Piórczyński suffered a serious injury following a collision with an opponent. Several minutes later, Bartek Wdowiak also had to leave the field after an unfortunate injury and was unable to continue. Both players received medical assistance from the emergency team called to the stadium.

The second half started perfectly for the visitors from Sokołów Podlaski. In the 49th minute, Daniel Zieliński reacted quickest inside our penalty area and converted a cross from a wide position with a shot from a tight angle, reducing the deficit to 2-1. For the next twenty minutes, the score remained unchanged.
The floodgates finally opened in the 70th minute. Mikołaj Głodek received a pass from Łukasz Gendek and produced an excellent finish from around nine metres to make it 3-1. Seven minutes later, the score was already 4-1. This time Gendek got on the scoresheet himself, taking advantage of a scramble in front of goal after a cross from Adrian Korgul.
In the 81st minute, Mikołaj Głodek completed his hat-trick, once again finding the back of the net with a composed finish from close range. Damian Grzyb rounded off the scoring in the 87th minute with a superb strike from approximately 15 metres, giving the visiting goalkeeper no chance.
Our team secured a convincing and fully deserved 6-1 victory, impressing above all with its efficiency in front of goal. We would like to thank the players and coach Piotr Szymański for today’s performance and for the entire season. We wish them a well-earned rest and are already looking forward to the start of the next campaign.
