Sęp - Czarni Węgrów: unlucky 13th minute, comeback and a 2:1 win

We started the match against Czarni a bit sluggishly. In the 13th minute, there was a serious misunderstanding in our team. The ball was played from the middle of the pitch to Dominik Kowalski, who decided to catch it. The referee, Marcin Protasewicz, awarded an indirect free kick inside the penalty area. The visitors took advantage of the confusion, quickly restarting play and completely catching our players off guard. Bartosz Kruszewski found the net to give his side the lead.

As the game progressed, Sęp regained composure and began to attack. Mikołaj Głodek was particularly dangerous, but for a long time he was unable to finish our team’s chances, including a one-on-one situation with Kuba Kupiec. The visitors also created an opportunity, with Kacper Górski finding himself one-on-one with Dominik Kowalski, but he was unable to beat our goalkeeper.

The breakthrough came in the 44th minute. We built an attack down the left wing – the ball reached Maksymilian Dębowski, who delicately lifted it to the advancing Mikołaj Głodek. Głodek cushioned the ball with a slight header and entered the penalty area with only the goalkeeper from Węgrów ahead of him. Our striker drifted slightly to the left, but even from a tight angle he managed to find the net, making it 1:1.

In the second half, we clearly dominated, constantly pressing forward. We scored the winning goal in the 57th minute. Michał Licbarski first struck the ball from distance, albeit not cleanly, but it fell to Szymon Kryczka, who had his back to goal. He quickly turned and fired an accurate shot, giving us a 2:1 lead. Although the margin over Czarni was not large, we managed to control the game until the final whistle and record another important victory.
