Pogoń II Siedlce vs Sęp: league leaders more clinical, win 4–1

Against the league leaders, our side delivered a solid performance, especially in the first half. Despite Pogoń’s dominance in possession, it was Sęp who produced the more dangerous scoring opportunities.

From the opening minutes, Pogoń dictated the tempo, but our players looked threatening on the counterattack. We created three excellent chances before the break. First, Szymon Kryczka found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Then, after a good pass from Łukasz Gendek, Sebastian Wdowiak came close to scoring. Shortly before halftime, Kryczka again had a chance, hitting the post with a follow-up attempt.

The hosts also had their opportunities but lacked precision in front of goal. As a result, the first half ended goalless.

After the break, Sęp managed to take the lead. Following a cross from the flank into the penalty area, Adam Pluciak attempted to clear the ball but instead put it into his own net.

As the match progressed, play shifted almost entirely into our half, with Pogoń creating more and more chances. Their pressure paid off when Patryk Klimek equalized. Soon after, Bolesław Świerczewski gave the hosts the lead.

In the closing stages, the Siedlce side sealed the victory with two more goals – first through a long-range strike by Alan Rybak, and then Jakub Gębicki scored directly from a corner kick to make it 4–1.

Despite the defeat, our team showed determination and competed well against the league leaders, creating several very good scoring opportunities throughout the match.
