Preview of Round 30 of the Siedlce District League 2025/26 Season

It is not often, at least at the level of our league, that the destination of the championship title is determined in the very last round of the season. This time, however, that is exactly what has happened, and we will have to wait until Saturday for the final verdict. After 29 matches, both MKP Pogoń II Siedlce and Wektra Zbuczyn have collected 71 points, placing them first and second in the table respectively.

The two teams have already faced each other twice this season. In the autumn round, Wektra came out on top with a 1-0 home victory. In the spring, Pogoń's reserve side responded with an emphatic 3-0 win in front of their own supporters. It is the head-to-head record between the two clubs that currently keeps Pogoń II at the top of the table, despite both teams having exactly the same number of points.

This weekend, Wektra will host Jastrząb Żeliszew and will be considered the clear favourite. Pogoń II will also play at home, taking on ULKS Gołąbek, and they too will enter their match as strong favourites. If there are no surprises, both sides are expected to collect another three points, finish the season level on points, and hand the league title to the Siedlce outfit. Will that be the case? We will find out on Saturday at around 7:00 PM.

Our team will conclude the season in front of our home supporters. Piotr Szymański's side will face Podlasie II Sokołów Podlaski. The visitors have been in good form recently, as demonstrated by their victories over Naprzód Skórzec and Zryw Sobolew. Our biggest advantage will undoubtedly be playing on home soil.
